Tie the knot in a spot where there’s nothing to “wine” about.
June 4, 2021
A wedding is a special event and should be a memory that lasts forever. A special day to celebrate with your even-more special someone. It should be a day to celebrate love, with your closest family and friends. And what better place to celebrate than beautiful, rural Lake County?
Given we’re wine country’s fastest-growing region (not to brag…okay, maybe a little), our neck of the universe has become a pretty popular spot for tying the knot. And for good reason.
Stick to your budget. Marry your beloved. Make your great Aunt Mimi happy. What more could you ask for? Here’s how to plan an affordable wine country wedding in Lake County!
Where is your wedding?
Boatique Winery
While we take pride in making the uncustomary custom, Lake County knows how to do elegant weddings right. If you’re looking for your fairy tale wedding with a heavy helping of “happily ever after,” you’re not going to do better than Boatique Winery. Located in the Red Hills (red is the color of love, y’know), Boatique Winery is home to verdant vineyards, clear sky vistas and a grove of ancient Barouni olive trees. All the makings for a magical day.
Langtry Estate & Vineyards
Get a venue as big as your love. This massive 23,000-acre property spans Napa to Lake County, and is Lake County’s only sole-sourced appellation. The wines and spirits are some of the most unique in all of Lake County, so you better believe the venue is the place to make your wedding day distinctive.
The Lodge at Blue Lakes
We’re a blossoming part of wine country, but Lake County is known nationwide for its lakes (hence the name). So for an all-in-one scenic, waterfront destination, begin your wedded bliss at The Lodge at Blue Lakes, home to a variety of venues as special and unique as your love.
Reese Ranch Retreat
Lake County is cowboy and cowgirl country, so slap on your boots and kick up your heels for a rustic romantic wedding at Reese Ranch Retreat. This is the textbook definition of “cowboy chic,” as your wedding at the ranch also includes a stay in a luxury “glamping” tent. Just don’t try to say “Reese Ranch Retreat” five times fast.
Make your special day delicious.
Guests gotta’ eat, right? No rubber chicken dinners here. Lake County’s agricultural bounty translates into whimsical wines, pasture-raised meats, and fresh-grown veggies, all artfully prepared by a cadre of talented chefs.
