Lake County Does Labor Day Right
August 31, 2019
Live It Up at the Lake County Fair
Act like a kid (and bring ‘em if ya got ‘em) at the Lake County Fair. Hop on a carnival ride while the scent of cotton candy and funnel cake wafts by, and take in delightfully destructive entertainment from the grandstands.
Friday night, locals in jacked-up trucks compete in the mud bogs, while Saturday sees a demolition derby and tug-o-war contest. Sunday takes the crash-fest to another level – Lake County style – by bringing boats into the equation too.
Lake County’s agriculture and craft scenes shine in the exhibit halls with prize-winning crops, baked goods, art, and sewing on view. Local 4-H and FFA youth put their months of hard work on display at the annual livestock show and auction.
The Lake County Fair runs August 30 through September 1 in Lakeport, with high octane grandstand entertainment nightly at 7 pm.
Call the fair office (707) 263-6181 for information on specific livestock events. Read more…
