People are more and more looking to know where their food is coming from and we took a tour of Yerba Santa goat dairy to see just where their wonderful goat cheese comes from. While the obvious answer to the question is the 72 goats that enjoy a tranquil life in among the rolling hills and beautiful grasslands that make up the farm, it’s more than just that including three generations of experience.
Lake County Certified Farmers Markets
There are a lot of great reasons for a vacation in Northern California’s wine growing region of Lake County and many of those reasons are the memories you take home. But according to Cornelia Sieber-Davis, CTA, of Lake County Farmer’s Finest, some of the people visiting Lake County take home organically-grown specialities offered in the Certified Farmers’ markets.

Replanting trees and bringing back trails
Friends of Boggs Mountain (FOBM) took the lead in collaboration with CAL FIRE in establishing a new trail system with a focus on multi-use. Starting with some legacy trails that will closely parallel a few of the trails that existed prior to the fire, the group will plan and build a new system of trails that will be designed to accommodate all user groups. Individuals from our hiking, equestrian and mountain biking communities will take part in establishing a trail system that offers each user group the experience they are seeking.
