Summer is live music season in Lake County
July 2, 2024
Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: a rock star, country singer, blues musician, and Shakespearean actor walk into a bar.
Okay, it’s not the setup for a joke; it’s literally Lake County this summer!
Summer is live music season around the United States. But given this is Lake Country, we’re doing things…well, you guessed it…Clearly Different.
Our summer lineup is a little bit country. It’s a little bit rock n’ roll. It’s a little bit blues, and even Bill Shakespeare.
It’s a little bit of a whole lot, because that’s the way we do things around here! So pack your lawn chairs, bring some sunscreen, and get ready for an epic summer music season under California’s clearest skies.
Kickin’ in the Country Concert Series
Kelseyville
Technically, we’re the West Coast, but Lake County puts the “country” in wine country. So every so often we drop our g’s, talk with a twang, and slap on our cowboy boots and hats. One of those times is definitely the Kickin’ in the Country concert series, which starts on July 4 and runs through late September in Kelseyville. Four shows. Four bands. Four opportunities to kick up your heels and dance the night away!
7/4 — The Fargo Brothers
7/18 — Delgado Brothers
8/15 — Big Sandy and his Fly-rite Boys
9/19 — Chris Cain Blues Band
Concert in the Park Series
Clearlake
We’re going to be honest with you; Clearlake’s Concert in the Park series defies easy description. It’s basically a little bit of everything. Make that a lot of everything — and all of them are awesome. It kicks off with a tribute to The King of Pop, Michael Jackson; takes it to the limit with a tribute to The Eagles; and closes things out with country classics, southern rock, and a jam-packed night of Jason Aldean. What do these things have in common? Nothing…except that they’re all cool.
7/6 — Rock with You Michael Jackson Tribute
7/13 — Boys of Summer
7/20 — Township & Ultimate Aldean
Shakespeare at the Lake – The Tempest
Clearlake & Lakeport
Think this is your same-old Shakespeare in the park? Think again. Shakespeare meets The Sex Pistols and The Bard meets The Clash in this punk-rock reimagining of The Tempest. It’s a chaotic and creative interpretation that takes place in the punk music scene of the early 1980s, with the rebellious and anarchic nature of the times serving as the perfect backdrop for Shakespeare’s famous and final play about power, conflict, and love.
7/27-28 —Library Park, Lakeport
8/2-3 — Austin Park, Clearlake
Summer Concerts at Library Park
Lakeport
Concerts every Friday night in July and August in Library Park. Some new bands, some old bands and some really big hair bands!
7/5- The BlueByrds
7/12 The Fargo Brothers
7/19 Jacob Westfall
8/2 Hairstike Band
8/9 The Funky Dozen
8/16 Decades
17th Annual Blue Wing Blues Festival
Upper Lake
When you live in Lake County, you have got a whole lot to be happy about. But that doesn’t mean we can’t sing the blues with the best of them. We’ll do just that this Labor Day weekend during our 17th Annual Blue Wing Blues Festival. Labor Day weekend is one of our most popular times of the year, so when you’re done having fun in the sun, feel the cool of the blues under the warm summer sky.
8/31 — Otilia Donaire + John Primer Bands
9/1 — Richie Blue Band + Ben Rice and the Portland Hustle
9/2 — Aki Kumar opens for The Johnny Burgin Blues Band
What’s just as sweet as our live music lineup? Our ways to play and places to stay.
Whatever your tune, you can always march to the beat of your own drum in Lake County. So come visit us this summer for a Clearly Different music festival season — and we’ll see ya when ya get here!
