Wine & dine your way through Lake County this summer!
July 16, 2025

We’re proud to be the fastest-growing region in wine country, with a variety of varietals bursting with flavor thanks to our volcanic soil you won’t find anywhere else on Earth.
Plenty of places would be happy with that.
But as you probably know by now, we’re not “plenty of places.”
We’re clearly different.
So besides our magnificent wines, we also know how to have a good time (make that a “great” time). As always, you’re invited to the party.
If you love to sip and sup, here are five places to wine and dine this summer in Lake County!
Six Sigma Ranch

Nestled in the majesty of mother nature and located in Lower Lake, Six Sigma Ranch is home to Huttopia Wine Country, which brings glamping to wine country for a unique retreat that can’t be beat. You know what else can’t be topped? Their Paella Nights, held the first Wednesday of every month, all year long. If you’re hankering for a bite that’s a bit more sumptuous, don’t miss their Ranch-To-Table Dinner on Saturday, August 16. Make it a full day and take a guided bike ride through their gorgeous grounds every third Saturday (including August 16).
Wild Diamond

Wild Diamond Vineyards in Hidden Valley Lake earns their name due to the Lake County “diamonds” – pure, semi-precious, gem-quality quartz also known as “moon tears” – that dot their landscape. They earn their reputation thanks to their bold, rich, intense wines, which get their flavor from the thick-skinned, large-seeded grapes they’re made from. The best time to try them is during their Seasonal Sunset Tastings every Friday and Saturday. If their wines make you feel like howling at the moon (no judging here), you’ll want to attend their Third Annual Full Moon Party, Saturday, August 9. There’ll be yummy food, live music, and even guided astronomy. With California’s clearest skies, there’s no better time or place to see the stars.
Ripe Choice Farm & Catering

Chef Tammy Lipps’ passion for reimaging the experience of food is matched only by her love for hospitality. So she’s living the dream by combining both of her loves at The Ripe Choice Farm & Catering, located in Lakeport. Chef Tammy’s full-service catering boutique blends time-tested favorites with fresh new flavor profiles, creating culinary concoctions based on her colorful personality, and a personal reflection for your palette. She caters for all occasions, or you can come to her barn and event space during Friday Night Dinners in the Barn, held every second Friday of the month. Taste the best Lake County has to offer – literally – during an all locally sourced dining experience, including yummy local meats like lamb, quail, and bison that you won’t find at our restaurants. Treat your tastebuds as their “piano man of a 1000 songs” tickles the ivories in an exclusive piano bar(n) environment. Before you ask, yes, you can get up and sing along. Savor and sing? Yes please!
Cache Creek Vineyards & Winery

Cache Creek in Clearlake Oaks is home to world-class wines, and an abundance of “locals” like waterfowl, wild turkeys, otters, beavers, deer, and even elk. You see, Cache Creek isn’t just a winery; it also doubles as a wildlife sanctuary that employs sustainable farming practices that are great for the grapes, and the animals who call this area home. But during the summer the animals aren’t the only “wildlife” at Cache Creek. If you’re a live music lover, their monthly summer concert series promises an amazing experience. General admission tickets are available, but a VIP pass gets you a delectable dinner as well. Arancini carbonara. Chicken parmesan. Grilled mango shrimp. Slow-roasted kalua pork. Boneless fried chicken served with hot honey. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.
The Shannon Mercantile

Driven by an independent spirit as free as the skies, The Shannon Mercantile blends cowboy culture with a commitment to sustainability farmed wines. With golden eagles, bobcats, waterfowl, and wild turkeys, the place is also teeming with wildlife – and we’re not just talking about the animals. Catch their summer concert series, featuring live local acts whose styles range from country to soul to rock n’roll to even 80s hair metal. Righteous, dude. Oh, and the food is pretty good too. Speaking of food, The Shannon Mercantile is the place to be in Lakeport every Sunday, where they serve a bountiful brunch from noon to 3pm.

Bring your appetite for wonderful wines, delicious food, and a good time. Because if you love all three, Lake County is the place to be this summer.
We’re located just a short drive away from San Francisco and Sacramento, so stay for a day, make it a weekend, or come and play for your summer vacay. Stay for as long as you like, and we’ll see you when you get here.
