We are flying into the wilds of Lake Pillsbury today in the Mendocino National Forest of Lake County, California, with this incredible drone footage of the resident Tule Elk herd that calls this area home.
This lake, created from the Eel River and Hull Mountain watershed by Scott Dam is at an elevation of 1,818 ft with 65 mi of shoreline. Activities in the Lake Pillsbury Recreation Area include fishing, swimming, sailing, picnicking, hiking and elk watching (if you’re lucky enough to spot them).
Many thanks to Jeff Rellek for this video.
