We are counting down the days to the 6th Annual Blackberry COBBler Festival on Saturday, August 29th, from 11am-5pm at Cobb Creekside Meadow (formerly Belmont Pines Golf Course) on beautiful Cobb Mountain!

A few housekeeping items for festival goers:

Admission & parking is free on the golf course! *^No parking on Golf Road.

🎶 Live music all day

🥧 Blackberry Cobbler Contest (those wild blackberries are ripening on the vines now!)

😋 Homemade blackberry cobbler for sale by the Mountain Lions Club & Cobb Community Center

Are you a foodie planning a visit to our North of Ordinary destination? Harmony Lake County, CA is Lake County’s high end dining experience envisioned by Michelin-star–trained chef Jevgenija Saromova and her wife, Mara Mehlman (now featured in Wine Country Magazine!)

Guests step into a stunning 3,000-bottle wine cellar, where the evening begins with a chilled glass of French Champagne. From there they are ushered to an intimate dining room anchored by a single large table and framed by sweeping views of Mount Konocti.

With seating for just ten guests, the atmosphere feels less like a restaurant and more like a gathering among friends. Over the course of the evening, seven beautifully crafted courses arrive, each paired with wines from Lake, County, Mendocino and Europe.

Join us at the Soper Reese Theater in Lakeport this Friday & Saturday, August 21 & 22, for two events in The Pomo Culture Series.

Friday, August 21st - 5:00pm join John Pryer for a discussion on the Papa Quail Pomo Basket Project. John’s extensive knowledge of Pomo Basketry—the history, weavers, and research of this deeply meaningful tribal art form—will be the center of this discussion.

Then on Saturday, August 22nd - 5:00pm, there will be a Pomo Jewelry Sale & Food Sales, along with Story & Dance Presentation (6:00pm) featuring the Habematolel Pomo Tribe of Upper Lake, California.

FREE ENTRY to the public at both events and all are welcome!

It’s happening! The 2026 Lake County pear harvest is in full swing, and the hard-working crew at @scullypears packing is busy processing our famous Lake County Bartletts for market.

Lake County, California has a long, rich agricultural history, with our pear crops as a crown jewel of that story. Pears have been grown here for decades—-a great source of pride that has put our county on the map.

This season of harvest culminates next month, with the annual @kelseyville_pear_festival on September 25 & 26—a celebration of our legacy in farming that attracts thousands of visitors & locals alike to downtown Kelseyville for the Farm to Fork Dinner, Pear Parade, and festival with hundreds of vendors, live music, and plenty of “pear-fect” eats & treats.
