Barrels & Verticals 2024

Discover the art of barrel tasting as you sample exquisite wines straight from the source of 12 participating Lake County wineries.

Tasting through barrels and verticals displays how different types of oak inform the development of wine. Experience the unique flavors that develop as wines age with vertical tastings. Taste wines in the process of aging in barrel against ‘verticals,’ or several in-bottle vintages of the same wine. Tasting multiple vintages displays how age-worthy wines evolve after bottling.  Understand the mastery of wine making that allows wines to develop for years to come.

This in-person event is an incredible opportunity to have fun, meet talented winemakers, and expand your wine knowledge. Wineries ready to welcome you include Olof Cellars, Mount Konocti Winery in Lakeport, Fore Family Vineyards, Smiling Dogs Ranch, Boatique Winery, and Thorn Hill Vineyards in Kelseyville, Gregory Graham Wines, Fults Family Vineyards, Six Sigma Ranch, and Wild Diamond Vineyards in Lower Lake, Langtry Farms in Middletown, and Stonehouse Cellars in Clearlake Oaks.
