The Holiday Events We’re Thankful For This Season!

October 27, 2021

Lots of folks wonder how the people of Lake County can stay so calm, cool, and mellow. There are many reasons (we’re in wine country, for one), but we like to think there’s one special reason: We’re thankful.

We practice an attitude of gratitude. We don’t count our worries, we count our blessings. And we feel pretty darned blessed to be living in a place that is, in our humble opinion, the best place to live on earth. When you feel blessed, you don’t want to keep it all to yourself. You want to share it with friends and friends-to-be (nobody is a “stranger” around here).

It’s the reason we always try to keep a full calendar of events. Because we love getting to see both new and familiar faces. Hopefully yours will be one of them. If so, you’ve certainly got plenty of reasons to stop by this season.

Don’t be a Scrooge. Get into the holiday spirit for the 5th annual Dickens’ Fair and Christmas Market, Saturday, Nov. 27 in downtown Lakeport. This isn’t your normal Christmas fair. Besides the festive happenings there’s a pet parade, Christmas caroling from My Divas, a sledding hill, and more. Also, Santa will be there, so you better be good for goodness sake.

Celebrate the season once again for this annual event when main street Kelseyville is transformed into a holiday winter wonderland! Enjoy a merchant open house, where local merchants will open their doors with complimentary treats. At night the magic happens with a parade of lights, and a pre-Christmas visit from Old Saint Nick. The festivities take place Friday, December 3.

Christmas comes to Middletown…well, the entire month of December. But things really get into high gear on Saturday, December 11! Stroll along this wintry wonderland, have the kids join in reindeer games, and visit Santa’s workshop. Yep, Santa definitely makes an appearance (he sure is busy).

A+H General Store

Besides these super-special events, there’s no better time to shop local and find something special from our local maker shops or artists. Have someone who’s impossible to shop for? Get them something Clearly Different.

P.S. Did someone say “holiday season in wine country!”? Okay, it was us. We said it.

Thank you for giving us so much to celebrate this season, and every season. We’re looking forward to hosting you and yours this holiday season!
