The public is invited to Harlem Voices, by composer and cellist Clovice A Lewis Jr., a compelling musical performance about resilience in the face of systemic racism and white supremacy. The performance at Middletown Art Center on March 8, from 6:30-8:30pm features three vocalists and chorus, with piano and string quartet. Doors open at 6.
The Art Center will transform into the Black Jay Speakeasy. As Harlem Voices is set in the 1920s, guests are encouraged to dress in Prohibition era or fancy attire and participate in the Speakeasy experience. Seating is limited. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
