Middletown Trailside Nature Preserve
Middletown Trailside Nature Preserve is a 107-acre parkland on the west end of Middletown, California. The triangular-shaped park sits at the base of 2,351-foot Sugarloaf Peak. The area has diverse habitats that range from forested woodlands to seasonal wetlands with vernal pools and grasslands. The park a great place for hiking, horseback riding, jogging, bird watching, and picnics. It is also home to the EcoArts Lake County Sculpture Walk, which is a free outdoor exhibit that in 2015 features 24 creative sculptures.
