Cache Creek Wilderness Area
The Cache Creek Wilderness Area encompasses over 27,000 acres of pristine California lands. It is part of the larger Cache Creek Natural Area, but is fully located within Lake County, providing visitors with a variety of topography, plant and animal life – including a year-round population of the American Bald Eagle and the rare Tule Elk. The centerpiece of the Area is Cache Creek, which is a tributary of the Sacramento River. Activities include hiking, backpacking, seasonal white water rafting, fishing and nature photography.
